In 2015, taking the family out to see a movie can be a budget-buster. Escape the crowds and the steep ticket prices with family movie night at the Acton Memorial Library. Come and see a family-friendly film on Friday, April 17th at 7:00 pm. The library will be closed to visitors during this time.
Beginning Origami with Lisa Corfman allows your children to learn a skill with others their age. They’ll love crafting beautiful creations from paper while meeting up with friends or making new ones. The lesson is designed for kids aged seven to 10 and is sponsored by the Friends of the Acton Libraries. Register for the event, which takes place on April 22, 2015 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, by contacting the Children’s Department at 978.929.6655, option four.
Heroines on the Homefront will delight kids aged five to 12. In this interactive children’s program, attendees will hear fascinating stories detailing the role of female spinners in the Revolutionary War. They’ll have the chance to try their hand at three different types of spinning in this program funded by the Acton Memorial Library Foundation.
The event will take place Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Meeting Room.
